Ari Zardozi Work

Ari Zardozi:

    Aari Zardozi is a type of weaving, started from Persia where as "zar" signifies gold and "dozi" signifies weaving. Aari Zardozi works varies from other customary weavings like Chikankari, Sujni, Kantha, Kasuti, Toda and Mirror weaving and so forth.

This work done by hand help of needle(hookshape), it dose the chain stitch but with some zari, kasab, nakshi(a type of spring kind of metal).

Sequins Work

Sequins:- Sequins are called as chamki by the craftsmen in Urdu. These are stitched in a peculiar manner. The katdhani sewi is placed in a packet of Chamki or Sequins and the needle is turned round and round so that the chamki will be taken up by the needle along its length. The craftsmen will guide the chamki one after the other that is to be stitched on the fabric.
